PTotD: Do you have any regrets?
I don’t believe in regret because I don’t think you can ever know how things would have really gone if you made another choice. We tend to imagine that if we hadn’t made that mistake, life would have been perfect, but that’s not true. We can’t see what would have happened… another thing could have gone “wrong,” another worse mistake.
That’s not to say I’ve never made a mistake or done anything that I would perhaps have been better off not doing. I just think everything I’ve been through, both good and bad, has contributed to making me the person who I am today. And who knows for sure it would have turned out better down another path?
