8 Random Things

Green Shinobi tagged me for the 8 random things meme.

The rules of engagement:

• Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
• People who are tagged need to write their own post about their eight things and post these rules.

My 8 random things:

• I grew up in Wisconsin, in a not-so-small city a couple of hours from everywhere (3 hrs from Milwaukee, 2 hrs from Madison, 3 1/2 hrs from Minneapolis, 2 hrs from Green Bay, etc)
• My first computer was an Apple II+ and I used to to learn logo, Basic and Pascal
• I speak German and Japanese… 2 of the 3 Axis power languages (Italian would be up next except… well, I was going to learn it, but there’s a reason now not to)
• I majored in chemistry in college but never worked in chemistry later
• When I told my mother I’m agnostic, she decided she failed as a a parent. Now she just pretends that conversation never happened
  
• I am a proud parent of a doggie, but I’ve never wanted to have children. Other people’s kids are fine, just not screaming on airplanes
• I dated a vegetarian for 4 years but never converted, so I don’t think I ever will
• I’m an ISTJ (flops back and forth between N and S) but everyone thinks I’m an E.
