Dog o’ the Day Welcoming woof: Lucky, a six-year-old lab/collie mix, welcomes residents back to Galveston Island, Texas, following Hurricane Ike. Although most of the island still remains without running water, electricity or gas, the city is permitting residents to return to their homes if they leave by 6 p.m. each evening.
