Personal Performance Review Weeks 5 and 6

Week 5 was a tough one. I think I expected the resolutions feel more like habits by then and they still weren’t (aren’t) an integrated part of my life yet. Week 6 was a little better, even getting more yoga done than usual during my travels.

  • Exercise is on track for the most part. It feels routine to walk the dog in the morning when I’m around, and I’m working up to yoga being a natural part of my day when I’m out of town. I did skip once but I think it’s good to give myself that permission occasionally
  • Still not drinking enough water, so apparently it was worthwhile to make this an explicit resolution. I’m going to go drink some water right after this to start this week off on the right foot
  • Sugared beverage consumption is staying relatively low, focusing on the diet sodas, although I did have a full calorie soda on the plane plus a vitamin water or something
  • Working my way through a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day / Chinese New Year, but slowly. Sharing dessert with the hubby sometimes after dinner. But at least not eating as many sweets as I was late last year
  • It’s easy to take care my teeth. Flossing every day even if it stiill doesn’t feel quite like habit and I still have to remind myself. Started a home teeth whitening process, which even if it ends up not whitening my teeth much at least has the benefit of making me feel like I’m doing something.
