Personal Performance Review #2

Hard to believe it’s already January 20!

  • Walked the dog 3 days, each day I was in town, FSS. On Friday and Sunday, did the same walk I have been doing, but at a slightly faster pace. Saturday is doggie playdate day so although we were out quite a while the walk was not as long
  • Missed doing yoga Monday. Early flight combined with late evening laziness makes it tough to get motivated on the first day of the week. 5-10 minutes of yoga TWTh mornings. One of those days was really good, but I am still finding it really hard to stay focused during even just 5 minutes
  • Did a really good job of drinking more water out of town (bought bottled water to have it on hand) but a really poor job of drinking water at home
  • Drank some mixed drinks made with juice. Drank a couple of relatively low calorie beverages with vitamins. But, other than that, still doing well drinking sugar-free replacements to sweets
  • The “one-dessert-a-week” policy is definitely the one that’s taken the hardest hits. I’m not sure whether this one is going to be sustainable, and I might need to make some adjustments. “Eat less dessert” is not measurable so not good, but I’ll think of something
  • Changing this one to “take care of my teeth” rather than just flossing. Forgot to floss one day so I’m obviously still trying to get in the habit. Introduced a new flouride rinse to my routine at least while I’m at home. Trying to decide on a new (ultrasonic) toothbrush

Pretty happy with how things are going so far although I do still need to work on drinking more water and on getting more out of my daily stretching. Thinking about adding a weekly weigh-in to the routine but still scared of stepping on the scale. Maybe next week?
